How Much Does an eFoil Cost in the UAE? 2026 Price Guide in AED
TL;DR: A new eFoil delivered in the UAE in 2026 really costs between roughly AED 18,000 (imported entry trims, before import costs) and AED 70,000 (Lift's top UAE pricing). The sweet spot for a premium board with local support sits around AED 26,000–36,000. The trap to avoid: many advertised prices exclude shipping, customs and VAT — always compare the delivered, VAT-inclusive AED total.

The costs that are not on the price tag
When an eFoil is imported to the UAE, three things land on top of the sticker price:
- International shipping — bulky boards plus dangerous-goods battery freight. Fliteboard's published EU flat rates run roughly AED 1,900–3,900, and UAE shipping is quoted individually at checkout; batteries can ship separately by sea with multi-week lead times.
- Customs duty — typically 5% of the cost-insurance-freight value.
- VAT — 5% on the duty-paid value.
Worked example: a Fliteboard PRO at US$12,599 (≈AED 46,240) + ≈AED 3,000 shipping → 5% duty (≈AED 2,460) → 5% VAT (≈AED 2,585) ≈ AED 54,300 on the water. And note that some UAE-advertised Fliteboard prices are explicitly listed as excluding shipping, customs and VAT — roughly 10–15% plus freight still to add. Whatever you buy, ask any seller one question: "What is the final delivered price in AED, VAT included?"
What you get at each level
Around AED 20,000–28,000. This is where locally stocked Waydoo sits. The Flyer Evo Pro Plus at AED 27,900 is the full-option configuration — 2300 Wh battery, 90L board — with VAT included, a demo before you commit, and warranty service done in Dubai. Imported entry trims can go lower on paper, but converge on similar money once import costs land.
Around AED 33,000–45,000. Manta Foils' Volt 4 (from ≈AED 35,000 delivered) brings carbon construction and four board sizes, and the Flite AIR lands here too as the accessible Fliteboard. Strong boards — check how warranty support reaches you in the UAE for each.
AED 48,000–70,000. Fliteboard PRO/ULTRA and Lift's UAE-sold LIFT5/LIFTX. Beautifully engineered, prestige-brand boards. You are paying for brand, finish and ecosystem as much as for ride performance — a Pro Plus flies the same water for half the money.
Disclosure: we are the official Waydoo distributor for the Middle East, so weigh our take accordingly — that is exactly why every number above is sourced and linked, and why we recommend trying before buying, whatever the brand.
Running costs to budget
Propellers and wear parts are cheap; batteries are the real long-term item on any brand — treat the battery well (shade, no hot car boots, genuine chargers) and it lasts for years of UAE sessions. Budget for a lifejacket or impact vest if you do not have one, and for lessons if you are starting out: AED 650 for an hour in Jumeirah teaches you more than any spec sheet.
Buying from abroad vs buying locally
The maths above shows imports rarely stay cheap once they land. The bigger issue is what happens later: a warranty claim on an imported board means dangerous-goods shipping in both directions and weeks off the water. Buying locally means AED pricing with VAT settled, a demo first, and service in Dubai. See our Warranty & Service and Delivery pages for how we handle both.
Quick answers
What is the cheapest way to start eFoiling in Dubai? A lesson (AED 650/hour) before any purchase. If you then want your own board, locally stocked Waydoo is the strongest price-to-performance in the UAE at AED 27,900 all-in.
Why do Fliteboard and Lift cost so much more here? Premium brand positioning plus import costs. They are excellent boards; whether they are AED 25,000–40,000 better than a Flyer Evo is a question best answered with a demo of each.
Do prices include VAT in the UAE? Ours do. Not everyone's do — always ask for the delivered, VAT-inclusive total in AED before comparing.
